The Middle East and North Africa Financial Action Task Force (MENAFATF) held the first meeting of the Mutual Evaluation Working Group in Syria, the meeting was hosted by the Syrian Central Bank on Monday 11 of July 2005. The meeting which was addressed by the Syrian Governor, Doctor Adib Mayaleh, discussed several issues in order to forward them for second plenary approval. These issues are drafting the objectives and mutual evaluation process and procedures as well as the mutual evaluation schedule.
