As part of the growing importance of the academic sector’s role in combating money laundering and countering terrorist financing, the second day of the 42nd MENAFATF Plenary witnessed, for the first time, the participation of a number of research and training centers in the plenary activities.
The participation featured presentations highlighting key academic and training initiatives and specialized programs in combating financial crimes, reflecting the importance of capacity building and strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and relevant authorities at both the regional and international levels
